Fruit is a popular music venue and bar in the heart of the iconic Fruit Market area of Hull. The proposals involved the internal remodelling of the existing building to create a new gallery at ground floor with artist studios above as part of a wider creative strategy for the quarter. The existing bar will now open directly onto Humber Street and the historic Smoke House to the rear with a new purpose built music venue, wrapped in a faceted timber façade providing a sympathetic modern addition within the conservation area.
